These forcemeat balls make an excellent accompaniment for hare, rabbit or veal. Preparation Time: 10 Mins Cooking Time: 10 Mins Total Time: 20 Mins Ingredients For 8 servings… 1 Onion - small, chopped finely 1 rasher Bacon - chopped finely 4 tbs Breadcrumbs - fresh 1 tbs Suet 2 tbs Parsley - chopped 1 tbs Marjoram - chopped Pepper Salt 1 Egg - beaten For coating 1 Egg - beaten Breadcrumbs - dried For deep frying Oil Method Cook the onion with the bacon until the onion is soft. Remove from the heat. Add the fresh breadcrumbs, suet, herbs and seasoning and bind together with beaten egg. Shape into balls the size of walnuts and dip them into egg and breadcrumbs and deep-fry them until golden brown.
