This version of fraises Romanoff uses Curaçao as the alcoholic flavouring.  As a result, the dish does not taste too alcoholic and it would be preferred by those people who are not so keen on alcoholic desserts.  It makes an excellent summer lunch dessert.

The quantities and method are not at all critical; as long as the dish contains strawberries, whipped cream and alcohol it will work out well!

Preparation Time: 15 Mins

Total Time: 1¼ Hrs

Ingredients

For 4 servings…

230 gms          Strawberries  - cut into halves

½                   Orange  - juice of

1½ tbs            Curaçao

30 cl               Cream  - double

1 tsp               Sugar

Method

Macerate the strawberries with the orange juice and 1 tablespoon of Curaçao in a glass dish in a refrigerator for 1 hour.  Whip the cream with the sugar and remaining Curaçao until stiff.  Pipe the cream on to the strawberries and serve.
