The sesame and soy sauce give this dish a slightly oriental feeling.  The lime gives it a more western sense.  Overall is has a delicious fusion.

Total Time: 15 Mins

Ingredients

For 6 servings…

6 steaks           Tuna        

1 tbs               Sesame oil  

  Pepper  - freshly ground, black         

  Salt              

  Endive leaves   

  Watercress     

For the dressing

5 tbs               Olive oil     

1 tbs               Sesame oil  

1                    Lime  - juice of        

2 tbs               Soy sauce  

1 clove             Garlic  - crushed       

                     Coriander  - chopped 

To serve

  Lime  - wedges

Method

Brush the tuna steaks with sesame oil, season and cook on a griddle for 2 minutes on each side (until charred on the outside but pink in middle).  Keep them warm.

Meanwhile blend the dressing ingredients together.

Toss endive leaves and watercress together then divide it between 6 plates.

Place the tuna on top and pour over dressing.  Serve with lime wedges.
