Grilled pork kebabs with balsamic marinade |

These kebabs have a complex Creole flavour with an abundance of spice and herb flavour. These can be barbecued or grilled. Preparation Time: 20 Mins Cooking Time: 10 Mins Total Time: 1 Hr Ingredients For 2 servings… 2 slices Belly pork - cut into cubes ½ Onion - red - cut into 4 For the marinade 40 ml Vinegar - balsamic 1½ tbs Soy sauce 1 clove Garlic - crushed Salt ½ tsp Honey - runny ½ tsp Paprika 1 pinch Cayenne 1 pinch Oregano 1 pinch Basil - dried 1 pinch Thyme ½ tsp Tomato purée Pepper - freshly ground, black For brushing Olive oil Method Whisk together the balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, honey, spices and herbs, seasoning, tomato paste and pepper. Mix in the pork, stirring well to coat the meat on all sides with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate. Prepare a barbecue or heat a grill to a medium-high heat. Thread the pork and red onion on to two skewers. Lightly brush on all sides with olive oil to prevent sticking. Grill the pork skewers for about 10 minutes, rotating once or twice until fully cooked.
