Chicken with ginger is an ideal barbeque dish but can be cooked on a griddle or under a grill (the cooking times may have to be increased to ensure the chicken is cooked through.  The ginger flavour gives the dish a slightly oriental flavour but not overtly so (add soy sauce to the basting mixture to give a more oriental flavour).  Whilst lovely hot, the chicken can also be eaten cold and is perfect for a picnic.
