This is a delicious relish that goes brilliantly with pork.  It has a sweet and sour taste.

Preparation Time: 5 Mins

Cooking Time: 5 Mins

Total Time: 25 Mins

Ingredients

For 6 servings…

150 ml             Vinegar  - cider        

100 gms           Sugar  - caster         

4                    Cloves      

1 tbs               Salt          

2                    Apples  - dessert - cored and sliced        

Method

Heat the vinegar, sugar and cloves in a saucepan with the salt.  Simmer until the sugar has completely dissolved.  Remove from the heat and leave to cool completely.

Then, pour the brine over the apple until it is completely covered and let it pickle for 15 minutes.  Serve.
