Honey and grain mustard are a go well together.  This warm dressing (it is equally good cold) is excellent withy all types of salad – including potato salad, leaf salads and winter salads, such as coleslaw.  It makes a good sauce for cod or haddock.

The honey produces a smooth round flavour.

Preparation Time: 2 Mins

Cooking Time: 2 Mins

Total Time: 4 Mins

Ingredients

For 4 servings…

1 tbs               Honey  - runny        

1 tsp               Mustard  - whole grain           

4 tbs               Olive oil    

1 tbs               Vinegar  - white wine 

                     Pepper  - freshly ground, black 

                     Salt          

Method

Put the honey and mustard into a small saucepan and stir together.  Warm over a low heat for 2 minutes.

Gradually add the oil and then remove from the heat and whisk in the vinegar.

Season to taste.
