This is a typical tapas dish and has flavours that are so typical of Spain.  It is unbelievably easy to make.

It also make a good starter dish.

Preparation Time: 5 Mins

Cooking Time: 30 Mins

Total Time: 35 Mins

Ingredients

For 4 servings…

2 Sausages       Chorizo     

250 ml             Cider  - still and dry   

To serve

                     Bread       

Method

Place the chorizo in a small pan (they should fit snugly) and pour over the cider.  Cook over a high heat until the cider reduces down into a rich syrup — this should take about 30 minutes.

Cut the chorizo into thick slices and serve hot with bread.

Wine recommendations

A dry Sherry or a red or white wine.
