Although not complicated, this dish is a little more interesting that basic boiled cabbage. The bacon and thyme add a pleasant flavour. Preparation Time: 10 Mins Cooking Time: 20 Mins Total Time: 30 Mins Ingredients For 4 servings… Salt 1 Cabbage - Savoy, chopped up 150 gms Bacon - fatty 1 Onion - chopped 3 sprigs Thyme - leaves from Method Bring a large pan of lightly salted water to a boil, add the cabbage and cook for 5 minutes. Drain well and keep warm. Heat a large frying pan, add the bacon or bacon and cook over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes until the fat becomes translucent. Then add the onion. Lower the heat and cook for 5 minutes, stirring until the onion is translucent. Add the cabbage to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes. Stir in the thyme and salt. Remove from the heat and serve immediately.
