Brussels sprouts served with breadcrumbs and almonds makes a pleasant alternative to plain boiled sprouts. Preparation Time: 15 Mins Cooking Time: 10 Mins Total Time: 25 Mins Ingredients For 4 servings… 700 gms Brussels sprouts - prepared Salt 50 gms Butter 25 gms Almonds 1 clove Garlic 1 Lemon - rind of, grated 1˝ tbs Breadcrumbs - fresh white Pepper Method Boil the Brussels sprouts for 5 minutes in salted water and then drain them. Put them into a warmed serving dish. Heat half of butter in a frying pan and, in it, cook the almonds and garlic for a few minutes. Add the lemon zest, pepper and salt. Remove from the heat and discard the garlic. Melt the remains of the butter in a small pan and, in it, cook the breadcrumbs until golden. Mix with the almonds. Spread the breadcrumbs and almonds mixture over the Brussels sprouts and serve at once.
